About the film
Early in the 20th century a wave of terror attacks shakes the Russian Empire. A small group of revolutionaries chooses its most important target: Grand Duke Sergei Alexandrovich.
The film shows the planning from the inside: the fake identities, the bombs, the failures, and the different reasons each person has for being there. As the others fall away, their leader George realises the killing has become the only meaning in his life.
A cool, intelligent historical drama that asks what terror does to the people who commit it.
